wc_helmets I've been a fan of The Modern Folk since his last release ("Modern Folk 666"). Always a wonderful blend of primitivism with modern inclinations. For this release, we hear a focused pallet of drums, guitar and occasional synth that feels like hanging out in a hazy rundown living room with friends listening to jams becoming gems almost effortlessly. There's an intimate quality to this one -- as if you are there. Great collection of songs. Favorite track: HEAVY DISRESPECT.

Sometimes one instrument stands out in a band and here I admire the very creative guitar-work, dissonant, edgy and daring. The whole band creates an energy, which seems to jump out off your speakers.
